Hi,
I'm new to this message board, but I'm a AL B SURE fan for 2 decades. I'm from Europe (Netherlands) and would like to know when Al drops his new album????? OK I understand this question is asked many times but since he is airplaying his songs for his upcoming album for the past 8 years???? I ask myself is it about to happen???? Or is Al to busy with his children and side projects. I was on a AL B SURE forum 6 years ago and Al red my post and gave me and the fans in the Netherlands a big shout-out. He recorded 3 new cuts from the radio in poor quality including from the top of my lungs and some others. Will those songs end up on his so called "Honey I'm Home" ? Sorry but I don't feel it's about to happen anymore. In my opinion Al has to drop his album fast, don't try to find the perfect record lable deal Al !! or don't exclude those great tracks you airplayed in the secret garden, don't do that please!!!! Too many fans are dying to hear his new album!!!
I have recycled the old Al B tracks to much it's time for something new. I even have 15 demo tracks from his first album recorded back in 1987! Did you know "No Matter What You Do" was almost recorded by the Gyrlz in 1987 before it landed on the Private Times cd! Among the demos I have "Naturally Mine" with very different lyrics. I'm so glad to own those tracks. Oh yeah, how do I reach Al on the radio from Europe? First I could hear Al on the secret garden but he changed the frequency or radio station and I couldn't hear the show no more.

thanks black velvet, will surely listen to it. So he's on slowjam.com and hot923.com both? The hot923.com does not work for me, due to licensing restrictions people outside the states can not enter. I had the same problem when he moved his radio show to the bay area. Nice to hear Al has fans all over the world and in every state who hasn't forgot about him after 1992 when he dropped his last album :P

Hey guys I am 100% positive that Al's new album is going to be the best one. He is on the record label Hidden Beach (home of Jill Scott )and from what I undestand he is working with some of the best producers. In a interview he had stated it will be released early 2009. So hopefully, we won't have to wait much longer. Peace, Shea

Hello HighTree!,
Welcome to the ABS Love Forum!!!!!!!

Al B is amaizng isn't he!!!!!

What a Great read! It is so nice to read how others feel about this amazing person! Nice to know he has touched others just as deep as he has me. Love it!

WELL, GOOD NEWS , HIS CD is dropping in 2009!!!!!!!!! It's a go! Wow, I never knew that The Gyrls were going to record "No Matter what You Do! I'm sure it would have sounded great, BUT ABS! and Diana definitely OWNED THAT song for sure! A truly great DUET!

Al B is no longer on the previous station.
He is now working at Hot 92.3 in Los Angeles! www.Hot923.com

I will ask ABS! if there are plans thru his station to open it up for International Listeners!
Not sure how it all works.

But, please continue to share.. I enjoyed reading your 2 POSTS!

Oh and trust me, you are definitely not alone. We ALL (ABS! fans) have been hoping and praying for ABS! to release his new music for 17 long years now. I really believe we will be blessed with his music in a few short months!

Hi Toni,

First of all thanks for putting this forum on the web. It's nice to hear others speak of their love and devotion for Al B. Sure! For me it's one of the very few R&B singers from the late eighties that stayed true to his music and fans.
Before Keith Sweat was my favorite, after his album with twisted it went down hill and Babyface was next, his last great album the day, when he did face2face it shocked a lot of his fans.
Maybe it is a wise decision for Al to wait this long, let's hope so. If in 2009 his album comes out, it will be 17 years since sexy versus came out. I pray that he will include his tracks he did airplay on the radio for the past 6 years or more.
From the top of your lungs would definate be a hit and would be a cryin shame it was not included. OK enough speculation, let's see first. With Kyle West as a producing team it can't go wrong!!! Hit it Kyle!

Yeah, sounds crazy if the gyrlz would have sung "No Matter What You Do" on their 1988 album, unfortunately it never came to it. I have a demo version from 1987 that's in a poor sound quality. I never realized it was written 3 years before it went on private times. But you're right Toni, Diana and Al did it way better!
Do you also know that Al B. Sure sang background vocals on "You Can Call Me Crazy" from Guy ??

Keep up the good works!!
